The Villas Cavo Marathia are located at the quiet end of a cul-de-sac, directly on the Cape of Marathia. You can reach us by car from the airport in about 25 minutes. The way to us is a little bit adventurous, especially in the last part, but it’s worth it!
Beaches

- The nearest beach – an idyllic pebble beach – is only a few minutes’ walk away or can be reached in 2
minutes by car. - Right above the beach there is a very nice tavern with very tasty food and a fantastic panoramic view.
- The nearest sandy beach is in the harbor town of Limni Keriou (Keri Beach) and can be reached by car
in about 5 minutes. - Beach towels are available from us for a fee / 2 pieces 10€.
Check-in

- Check-in possible from 2:00 p.m.
- At the reception area (in front of the reception door on the right corner) you will find a CHECK-IN
BOARD. - Your room keys are left on the table next to the reception door.
- If you cannot find your way to the studio/apartment, please contact us by phone. Then we will be
happy to explain to you the way to your apartment and your personal parking space. - Info for late arrivals: Please contact us by SMS to 0030-6974727163 after your arrival at the airport.
So, we are informed that you landed late. Thank you!
Check-out
- Please check out no later than 11:00 o’clock a.m.
- Late check-out at an additional cost of 30€. If possible, in your own studio, otherwise in our late check-out room, which also has a bathroom. To ensure your planning security, we ask that you book in good time.
Children
- Children are welcome with us – please note that the room types “Studio with Sea View” and “Superior
Studio” can only accommodate one baby/toddler up to 2 years old in a travel cot. - Babies and toddlers sleep in a travel cot/cot (free of charge).
- For families with several or older children, we have two room types to choose from:
- Our “Family Maisonette” with a spatially separated sleeping alcove with two separate beds for children up to around 12 years old.
- As well as our “Family Tower” and the “Family Gallery II”. two separate bedrooms, each with a large double bed.
Cleaning Fee
Our studios are always freshly cleaned. We charge a cleaning fee per stay; the amount will be shown to you directly when you book
Entrance gate
- Our green entrance gate is automatically closed from 2 p.m.
- A clay turtle with the remote control can be found on the wall right next to the gate. Lift the lid and remove the door opener. Press A and the gate will automatically open outwards. Please close the gate again with A.
- Please put the door opener back into the clay turtle. During self-check-in you will receive your personal remote control.
Equipment Holiday Apartment
- STUDIO: Linens, Air Conditioning + Fans, Satellite TV, Wardrobe, Safe.
- BATHROOM: Towels, pool towels free of charge, beach towels for a fee, hand & shower soap, hairdryer,
toilet paper, baby bathtub on request. - KITCHENETTE: refrigerator, coffee machine, espresso maker on request, kettle, toaster, 2 hotplates,
dishes, and cutlery. - Basic KITCHEN UTENSILS: Plates, pots, and pans, etc., tea towels, dishwashing liquid and sponge.
- Usable for all guests: hobby room with pool table, table tennis, books
Ferries
You can reach Zakynthos both from the island of Kefalonia (high season) or from the mainland via Patras via the Kyllini ferry port in the Peloponnese, all year round. The ferry crossing takes around 1 hour and costs around €80. (car + 2 people).

Meet & Greet
We regularly offer our guests a free “Meet & Greet” three times a week: Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning at our small coffee bar on the panoramic terrace.
Pack it – this should be in your suitcase
- Bathing sandals: Our house beach, which you can reach via a narrow, steep path through our olive grove, is quite rocky; many of the beaches in our area are pebble beaches.
- Beach towels are available from us for a fee (2 pieces/10€).
Pets
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.
Private Bathing Bay
- A small, sometimes quite steep trail takes you through an olive grove in five minutes our small private bathing bay. Bathing shoes recommended!
- A few shallow stairs take you directly to the water.
- Two small plateaus (without sun loungers) invite you to sunbath.
- Enjoy a refreshing swim – directly below our facility. Note: Entering our private paths is at your own
risk!

Rental Car
Please note that the rental car must be paid directly to the landlord upon arrival at the airport as it is a third-party service. If your arrival time has changed, please let us know so that we can pass this on to the agency.
Restaurants & Taverns very close by
- There are two Greek taverns along the access road to Villas Cavo Marathia. The first is above the pebble beach after 800 meters “To Votsalo”, the second a few hundred meters further “Marathia Star”.
- Beach promenade in Limni (Keri Beach) – here you will find a supermarket, boat rental information stands, diving schools, taverns and cafes. For boat rental, ask us.
- Mythos Bar – at the fork in the road to Limni, sundowner view of the sea.
Shopping

- You can find large supermarkets like LIDL and AB coming from the airport – on the way to us – after a few minutes on the right and left.
- In Limni Keriou Beach you will find the Family Market and Herodotos Supermarket
Taxi / Transfer
- We would be happy to order a taxi for you; the cost is 50 € (fixed price).
- The driver will hold a sign with “Villas Cavo Marathia” or your name as you come out of the airport exit.
Welcome Basket
Don’t feel like the stress of shopping immediately upon arrival? Then order our Welcome Basket right away. The basket contains the first fine local foods as well as a basic package of coffee, tea and a selection of drinks: coffee, tea (various types of tea), 2 bottles of water, 2 x 0.5l winemaker’s wine (red / white), 2x Mythos beer, bruschetta Bread with organic tomatoes or seasonal fruit, olives, wood-firedbread for 30.50€.
