Directions

How to find us without a detour after arrival

reach our holiday residence by car from the airport in ca. 20 minutes.

  1. Take the airport road about 1.5 km along until you reach a big intersection.
  2. Turn left in direction Keri and keep following this country road  (15 km) on which you‘ll pass through Lithakia and pass by Limni Keriou.
  3. You pass by Limni Keriou and after ca. 1 km – shortly after the restaurant "La Bruschetta" on the left – you  see signs saying „Marathias“ and "Villas Cavo Marathia“. Turn left here!
  4. Now it gets a little bumpy on the road towards Marathias. Follow the road ca. 3km up until the road ends (also past the dead end signs).
  5. Now you enter the driveway of Villas Cavo Marathia where we will welcome you to your holiday paradise!

How to get there

Many ways lead to the Villas Cavo Marathia. See in the following the different possibilities.

There are lots of airports and airlines with direct flights to Zakynthos:

  • UK (5 airports),  Ireland (Dublin), Scotland (Glasgow), Wales (Cardiff) – Easyjet & Jet2.com
  • Netherlands (Amsterdam), Belgium (Brussels - Charleroi)
  • Italy  (Milano & Naples), Spain (Fuerte Ventura)
  • Czech Republic (Prague), Poland (5 airports) , Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia
  • Russia (Moscow & Petersburg)
  • All main Scandinavian airports

There are often cheap fares available.

Flights to Zakynthos via Athens

All large airlines offer flights to Athens from where you have different options to travel onwards to Zakynthos. One option is by plane. For more, see the next section.

From Athens onwards to Zakynthos by car

A very attractive travel alternative. From Athens Venizelos Airport to Zakynthos it’s about 250km to the ferry terminal Kyllinni.
Drive in direction Padras/ Pellepones and then on to Kyllinni. From there you cross over to Zakynthos for 1 hour.
See the directions from the port in Zakynthos to Villas Cavo Marathia on the penultimate page.

Flight to Athens and onwards by bus

Enjoy an inexpensive and exciting traveling with the super-regional bus along the Peloponnese to Zakynthos.
Tip: Stay a night or two in Athens and explore the many ancient sites. In the new historical museum next to the Acropolis you can learn all about Greek history and in Plaka (Athens’ old city center) it’s nice to take a stroll and dine.
If you fly to Patras and want to go onwards by bus this is also possible. But we recommend to take a taxi  for 40-50€ to the port in Killini for a transfer by ferry. This is more direct and quicker.

For information and booking you can call the bus stations (Athens +30 210 5129432/ Patras +30 2610 220993) or download the KTEL App under www.ktel.org.

By ferry from Italy or Peleponnes

Travel by boat from the Italian ports of Brindisi, Ancona or Bari to Patras/ Greece and from there to Zakynthos.

Please note: the ferry to Zakynthos doesn‘t  leave from  Patras but from Killini. Therefore you need to take a taxi, what takes ca. 1 hour and costs 40-50€. The ferry crossing to Zante Island is  then also 1 hour.

Island Hopping

Take advantage of your stay to explore other islands in the Ionian Sea – such as Cephalonia and  Corfu, which are islands located in close proximity of  Zakynthos. We’re happy to give you advice for planning your trip.
